DOVER March15, 2016 -- Moonstone Painting has been selected for the 2014 Best of Dover Award in the Painting Contractors category by the Dover Award Program.

I started Moonstone Painting in 1987 after working many years for the “Man”. At the time, I had a young daughter and I was also trying my hand at a music career. It was, simply just a good time to start a business: I was young and fearless.
Over the years I've worked for some wonderful people and have developed some close relationships. Around April of 2007 I got an unexpected call from a very good client whom I’d worked for on and off for many years. They moved from Mountain Lakes and consequently retired to Hawaii. John said he’d like to have the house in Hawaii painted and would I like to come out to paint for him and his wife Chris. Well when I finally got around to picking my jaw up from the floor, I said yes without hesitation. In October of that year John and Chris were gracious enough to fly me out to Kona for a couple of weeks work to paint their beautiful retirement home, My wife, Katrina, flew out for a week after so we could enjoy a most memorable vacation snorkeling and jeeping around the Big Island while staying with John and Chris. Without saying, that was one of the best vacations I ever had!!
My interests outside of work are music (drumming and electronic), trading the forex market, kettlebell training, watching tennis, movies, reading, and vegetarian cooking.
I have two beautiful adult daughters, one a graduate of Columbia Uni. with a master’s in Social Work and the other a graphic designer who works for Ben. Moore, three cats and two dogs.
My wife, Katrina, is a licensed Acupuncturist.
Two of my favorite places to visit are Telluride, CO and Cape Cod, MA.
